This site contains tree identification and appreciation notes from an amateur dendrologist in and around Massachusetts and New England. Learning about trees is a hobby of mine. The primary goal of this site is to capture my learning about trees and catalog the species I've identified in and around New England.

The larger vision is to create a reference for trees found in New England. Limiting trees in a reference by region simplifies localized identification and appreciation. Hopefully this resource will ease the frustration of sifting through dozens of species that would never be found in your location when identifying a tree.
